Project Overview

Full-Scope Automation for a Luxury Oatlands Residence

This project involved the full integration of smart home technology across a premium new-build residence in Oatlands, NSW. Blutek delivered a comprehensive Control4-driven ecosystem covering entertainment, lighting, security, intercoms, and networking.

The home theatre features a dedicated star-ceiling room with an Epson TW9400 4K projector, 120" screen, and a 7.2-channel Integra receiver paired with Triad speakers — delivering a cinematic experience rivalling a commercial venue.

Five distributed audio zones provide seamless whole-home audio, all managed from custom-engraved Control4 keypads, the homeowner's smartphone, or voice. Akuvox facial recognition door stations at both entry points integrate directly with the Control4 system.

Immersive Cinema Under the Stars

The dedicated cinema room features a 400-point LED fibre optic star ceiling, Epson TW9400 4K projector, 120" screen, and Integra 7.2-channel surround with Triad in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. Control4 keypads with custom scene labels — Watch, Intermission, Stars, Room Off — give complete one-touch control.

Intelligent Control at Every Touch Point

Thirty-eight custom-engraved Control4 keypads are distributed across every room, providing scene-based lighting control with labels like Welcome, Entertain, Downlights, and Area Off. Each keypad is programmed to trigger tailored lighting scenes, blinds, and audio simultaneously.

Triad in-ceiling speakers deliver invisible audio across five zones — Living, Kitchen/Dining, Gym, Alfresco, and Pool — powered by a 100W x 12-channel Episode DSP amplifier.
