A complete smart home transformation

This West Pennant Hills residence received a comprehensive smart home upgrade, transforming it into a luxury automated environment centred around a stunning home theatre experience.

The highlight is the dedicated cinema room featuring a shooting starlight ceiling — hundreds of fibre optic lights creating a dynamic night sky effect above custom tiered seating. Combined with Sony's flagship XW5000 4K laser projector and the Integra DRX-8.4 11.4-channel receiver, the theatre delivers true cinematic performance.

Beyond the theatre, the entire home now operates on Control4 Core 5 automation — lighting, multi-room video, advanced security, and enterprise WiFi 6 networking all unified through a single seamless ecosystem.

The Theatre

A shooting starlight ceiling above a private cinema

The centrepiece of this project is the bespoke home cinema — a room engineered from the floor up for immersive performance. The shooting starlight ceiling uses hundreds of individually driven fibre optic lights to simulate a live night sky with shooting star effects.

Sony's XW5000 native 4K laser projector delivers stunning brightness and colour accuracy, while the Integra DRX-8.4 11.4-channel receiver powers a full Dolby Atmos overhead speaker configuration — every detail calibrated to studio reference standards.
